BIOGRAPHY
Jeff began playing the guitar at age 14 after being inspired by Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song, as well as many other Bands including Country Joe and the Fish, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, and pretty much anything that he heard. Jeff enjoyed figuring out melodies by ear. He took private lessons for 3 yrs. before joining a band playing local bars, clubs and weddings. He also played with many other bands before deciding to head to Hollywood, CA to attend GIT( Guitar Institute of Technology) which is part of Musician’s Institute. He graduated with honors in Sept. of 1988, then returned to Pittsburgh where he taught private guitar lessons and worked with a band called Hot To Trot. From 1991 – 2003, Jeff worked on cruise ships playing many styles of music, working with 3 different bands on Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Holland America Cruise Lines. Jeff is a Guitar, Bass, and Ukulele Instructor, and plays Solo, Duo and Trio gigs occasionally, and is currently playing with the Band Cool Change (coolchangepgh.com). He has also worked with the following local Pittsburgh bands from 2005-2015 including Dr. Zoot, Metro, The Kim Alexander Band and That 80’s Band. Jeff would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
